Banyuwangi & Red Island Beach
For three days, we wandered between rice fields, waterfalls, and beaches, and we were lucky enough to witness parades as part of local festivals — an amazing experience!
There were very few foreign tourists in this part of Java, so the locals were quite surprised and curious to see us. The children, smiling, asked us to take pictures with them.

Mount Bromo

2 days
After long hours on the scooter, we finally arrived at the foot of Mount Bromo in the village of Cemorolawang.
The next morning, we headed to the viewpoint called 'King Kong Hill' to watch the sunrise. And then, it was breathtaking. I’m at a loss for words... it’s magnificent!

Do you see the smoking crater on the left? Well, we climbed it!
Before that, we made our way to the foot of the crater on a scooter, which was quite the adventure since it’s a sandy road.
The view from the top is simply stunning.

Malang

A city of nearly 1 million inhabitants, it is famous for its colorful villages. However, these aren't technically villages; they are an integral part of the city, more akin to neighborhoods.
These neighborhoods were previously neglected, but students from Malang University then painted the facades with vibrant colors.
Entrance to these villages is paid, which provides an additional source of income for the locals.
